This area near the front door of a residence was given added interest with a Columbia limestone boulder

This transformation of a back yard in Scotts Valley features Festuca glauca ‘Elijah Blue’, Penstemon ‘Midnight’ and Coleonema pulchrum.
Of particular relevance are these photos depicting the conversion of a Silicon Valley lawn to a xeriscape. The lawn was removed, then (middle photo) soil mounded up to achieve contour and necessary drainage) then (photo right) planted with cacti and succulents, both of which offer year round color with minimal watering needs. Plants depicted include Sedum, Sempervivum, San Pedro Cactus, Ghost Cactus, Yucca, Agave, Senecio mandraliscae
